Rabbi Jeffrey Newman

Jeffrey Newman is Emeritus Rabbi of Finchley Reform Synagogue, a community he led for thirty years.

Jewish teachings about inequality, justice and peace led him to found the UK branch of the Israel-Palestine Centre for Research and Information [IPCRI] with Ahmed Khalidi and he is a supporter of Rabbis for Human Rights [RHR] and Jews for Justice for Palestinians [jfjfp].

Recently he has been active on behalf of the Earth Charter and its 16 Principles for a just, sustainable and peaceful global society.

He is a Trustee in UK of Search for Common Ground www.sfcg.org and on the Advisory Board of www.ecosequestrust.org
